Good Idea or God's Idea
God is good all the time and
all the time, God is good.

I'm going to share about me experiencing God for the past 6 months.
I've always had this dream yo go into theatrical studies, but being in a musical group cca, I hardly come across chances to learn about how to be a stage director and so on. Something which i think is important if i were to try to enter NAFA. I prayed about this dream of mine because i knew that i had to do so. As a Christian, you hace to pray about everything you do. In other words, i prayed forthe sake of praying. In my opinion, i have lost my faith in Christ. Not because He failed me, but because i've failed Him.
One thing that we have to know is that God never fails us. It's just us who think that He failed us just because things do not turn out as what we wish it to be. But we always forget God. We need to be constantly reminded to remember God,
On the 28th July, the ex-co members of 2006/2007 announced the ex-co of 2007/2008. I had prayed constantly to God that He would allow me to be the new vice-pres. But i didn't get the post. I got the property manager post instead.
After cca, a guzheng mate told me "Cherie, i thought' you'd be VP! How come they never let you be VP?"
My immediate response was, hah! because i'm lousier. that's why.
But on the way to where i penned this testimony, i thought about the comment. Undeniably, she was mopre capable than I am. She was good at schoolwork, she is a councillor, and i believe that she plays guzheng better than i do. But what had she done for guzheng so far?
I had literally slogged for guzheng. working hard to ensure that i'll get the post that i desired, the power, the glory, the honour. and most of the time being the sec 2 vp, you secure your post as the pres the following year.
But what is in a name? It is neither hand, nor foot, nor face. Deny thy father and refuse thy name and i'll no longr be a Capulet.
Juliet said that in romeo and juliet. even a normal, common, girl from a rich family knows that. what about me?
I had read too much into the practical, earthly, humanly world. I had become so arrogant that i believed that i could achieve what i want. I have forgotten God in the midst of all these fierce competition. praying only wehn i needed help.
I had forgotten that:
Faith is not a belief, but a trust without reservation.
I have forgotten to trust God wholeheartedly,to give Him my 100% trust.
Mu Future Decided. God has a plan for me. I finally saw it today. It is in this case, God's plan.
He had let me be a logistic head for a purpose. Stage director. Drawing stage plans. A chance to teach the sec1'08 batch.
Isn't this what i truly would love and would like to do to serve guzheng?
Yes, being a vice-president, it certainly sounds nice. A golden badge would definitely look nicer than a plain brown badge. People look up to you. It sounds like a pretty good idea. But was what God's idea for me?
If your life were a movie, would you let God direct it?
Direct my sail. Romeo wanted Queen Mab to dirct him to find his true love.
But today, i want God to direct my life. I want to live for Him. I believe it'd God's plans to have a fellow believer as my assitstant. I believe that He has a purpose for me today.
Proverbs 16:9
You make your plans, but God directs your actions.
To end off, I encourage all of you to live a purpose driven life. It is always easy to differentiate a good idea from a bad one.
But its not always easy to differentiate a good idea from God's idea, for like i mentioned. VP sounds like a good idea. but what is God's idea? Property managr. It sounds bad. But in the long run, it is certainly much better.
It was meant to be a private diary entry of mine. But after penning it, i realised that ity could change lives, so i decided to ask for a chance to share this with you.
